Veronica Gioscia
Veronica started her career as Criminal Lawyer in Italy working daily with people with extremely stressful psychological conditions. In 1998 Veronica moved to the UK and in 2003 obtained a degree in Psychology and in 2006 a Post-MSc in Counselling Psychology from City University. From 2009 to 2011 she received specialist training from the Institute of Psychiatry and the Maudsley NHS foundation trust in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). In 2012 she obtained a Psychodynamic Psychotherapy MA from the University of Essex Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust.

She is a Practicing Psychologist with the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) and Chartered Psychologist of the British Psychological Society (BPS).

She has worked for the NHS in various capacities. From 2005 to 2008 she a member of Lambeth Primary Care Team working in various GP surgeries. From 2008 to 2011 she was a member of the first Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Service Team in the South London and the Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. From 2009 to 2011 she also worked in the Health Psychology Service at St. Thomas’ Hospital in the outpatient department dealing with chronic health conditions.

Veronica is fluent in English and Italian. She is currently working as a supervisor for trainees at the Wimbledon Guild.

She has been working in private practice since 2002, and is registered with the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC)
